Sterling, VA -- Strongbridge LLC is proud to announce that the company has been awarded a Department of Transportation (DOT) Software Engineering Support Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The multiple award BPA has a ceiling of $280,000,000 for orders placed through May 2024.
Contract awardees will provide software engineering support for approximately 130 active applications and new application development needs across a wide range of technology stacks across all DOT offices and modes, except the Federal Aviation Administration. Specific contract support includes project management; supporting the agency’s transition from waterfall to agile; and development, testing, and maintenance using industry-proven best practices.
Strongbridge has supported the Department of Transportation for almost a decade, including projects at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center.
In our commitment and continuing support of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Strongbridge was awarded a new prime contract to enhance data capture and analytics capabilities. Utilizing Azure cloud, we will develop and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for FRA to better process and analyze data through visualization methods as they evaluate the safety of our nation’s railroads.
