News & EventsSterling, VA -- Strongbridge LLC is proud to announce that the company has been awarded a Department of Transportation (DOT) Software Engineering Support Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The multiple award BPA has a ceiling of $280,000,000 for orders placed through May 2024. Contract awardees will provide software engineering support for approximately 130 active applications and new application development needs across a wide range of technology stacks across all DOT offices and modes, except the Federal Aviation Administration. Specific contract support includes project management; supporting the agency’s transition from waterfall to agile; and development, testing, and maintenance using industry-proven best practices. Strongbridge has supported the Department of Transportation for almost a decade, including projects at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. Several factors contributed to the BPA award and Strongbridge’s ongoing work with the department, including outstanding leadership in the identification, development and application of software best practices; CMMI Level 3 certification and structured development skills as well as extensive experience in cloud-native development and vendor neutrality in a rapidly changing marketplace.
