​Department of Transportation (DOT) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
Strongbridge staff support the Crash Data Acquisition Network (CDAN) project for NHTSA applying our Hybrid Agile and CMMI Level III (DEV) software development approach for five mission-critical web-based software products. Strongbridge’s approach to operational services provides end-to-end IT support through centralized oversight of the NHTSA environment, and access and visibility to enterprise information and data. The systems and data that Strongbridge provides are used to derive root causes of accidents, and develop strategies to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities. Strongbridge staff migrated functionality from physical servers to a NHTSA data center government private cloud that is built on VMware virtualization tools. Additionally, we moved a significant library of recall information to the AWS cloud in order to save the government resources and remove workload from the NHTSA network.  Strongbridge staff are leveraging Amazon’s S3 storage services to provide nationwide access to 500K documents that describe recalls and safety details of the U.S. transportation market. ​

Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD)
Strongbridge analyzes, designs, develops, maintains and enhances numerous web-based, client-server applications and databases that assist WHD in enforcing numerous labor laws. We perform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of WHD systems to accommodate 1,800 users nationwide and in Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan. We also provide database administration support, requirements analysis, system design, testing, training, and help desk support. We use Agile methodologies to develop enhancements and changes to the systems. In addition, the team supports multiple web applications that are used by the public, such as customized calculators to calculate subminimum wages for Section 14C, a publication ordering system, and a locator service for workers that are owed back wages. ​

Department of State (DoS) Office of Acquisition Management (AQM)
Strongbridge provides governance, delivery, and technical execution to manage, host, and operate two critical DoS systems: (1) the Grants Database Management System (GDMS) and its web-based applications that enable DoS offices to enter data directly into the procurement database via a web interface, and (2) the Federal Procurement Database System (FPDS) Procurement Reporting Portal website system that extracts procurement data from FPDS and reports critical information to DoS personnel. Strongbridge’s maintenance and support of these systems allows DoS’ geographically-dispersed users to access both systems to view procurement or grants data visually and breakdown data by region, country, or post. We moved key data exchange functionalities and IS system components from their previous operating environment, a rack-mounted legacy Windows Server 2003 physical server to a new cloud operating environment, virtualized Windows 2016 VMs on the FedRAMP approved AWS GovCloud ecosystem to lower long-term maintenance and operations costs for the government.
